Hysterical Animals Who Had Instant Regrets: You Won’t Know Whether To Laugh Or Cry
Cats and dogs are curious creatures. When they see something interesting, they immediately engage. It can be cute when they get stuck in a fence or trapped between couch cushions, but if they get stung by a bee it be dangerous. We love our pets and often can't help but laugh at their crazy antics. Check out some pets who either got too close to a bee or instantly regretted some of their actions...
A Bee For Dinner
The Siberian Husky dog originated in Siberia, and they are known for their beautiful thick coats of fur. Well, fur didn't prevent this little guy from getting stung by a bee. It appears that he may have even tried to eat the bee. The telltale sign? Look at his giant cheeks!
This pup obviously thought a bumble bee would be a nice little snack. Or maybe the flying insect was annoying him. Little did he know that the flying creature would fight back, particularly when attacked by a four-legged animal. Hopefully it didn't take too long for the swelling to subside.
Cat Vs. Bee: Guess Who Won?
Cats are known for chasing mice and other creatures. Apparently, they also get into scuffles with bees. Now we all know that's not the wisest thing to do, but try telling that to a feline. They have their own agendas.
They are nearly impossible to train, so of course, they're not going to listen to a human's advice to stay away from bees and wasps. Well, this little girl had a run in with a bee, and it appears to have stung her in the nose. You have to admit, she looks a little bit like an adorable cartoon.
Hung Up
Cats are curious creatures. They also love squeezing themselves into precarious situations. It's unavoidable. It's in their nature. This black cat was probably hanging out with his human in the bedroom, who was organizing her closet. The cat saw a hanger and thought, "That looks like fun."
Well, it's all fun and games until someone gets their head stuck. This cat doesn't look entirely happy. He probably thought he could squeeze his whole body through the hanger. Nope. He's not as skinny as he thought. And cats hate it when humans have to help them out of uncomfortable situations.
Thirsty Cat
This cat is brave. And stupid at the same time. We understand that felines enjoy inserting themselves into strange places. They love boxes and small areas. However, it's never a good idea to wrap oneself up in plastic. Humans know that suffocation is a real and serious problem to be avoided at all costs.
This kitty obviously didn't get the memo. He saw an opening and took it. Somehow he managed to get himself stuck inside a case of water bottles. The poor thing probably had no idea what he did to himself. Hopefully, the human saved him in time.
Cute Window Dressing
Cats love looking outside, particularly if they live indoors. If they are not allowed to frolic outside, they dream of doing it by watching squirrels and other activities from behind closed windows. Sometimes, however, things get in the way of their observations.
Take this cat. She got a little too close to the blinds on the window and somehow managed to get entwined between the plastic parts of the blinds. She probably started struggling, which made her situation even worse. See how she's hanging by her tummy? She has a look of alarm on her face. The poor thing!
"But The Bee Was Bothering Me!"
Here's another pup that got just a little too close to a bee and probably tried to eat it. The bee retaliated, and the pup's cheeks swelled considerably. If you find out that your pet has been stung by a bee, one way to remove the stinger is by using a credit card to scrape it away.
Vets don't recommend using your fingers or tweezers because the venom sack may rupture. If more venom is released into the animal, the problem can get worse. So always make sure to keep an eye on your animals after they come inside.
The Nose Knows
Cases of dogs being bitten by bees are very common. Dogs love spending time outside, and they love chasing things, including bees. However, as we know, the consequences can be very uncomfortable. If your dog is stung by a bee, it's recommended that you contact your local vet.
In many cases, he or she will prescribe an over-the-counter antihistamine such as Benadryl. Be sure to follow instructions and use the proper dosage based on the animal's weight. Also, make sure the drug contains only diphenhydramine because other ingredients may be harmful to your pet. Use a cold compress to reduce swelling.
All Coiled Up
It's unclear what the human was doing with the hose when his cat got involved. Perhaps he was watering the garden or washing the car. Either way, the curious cat obviously was very excited to play with the hose. He somehow managed to get himself all tangled up in the spirals.
It's actually pretty cute! But we doubt the cat feels the same way. There's nothing comfortable about having a hose encircling your body. Oh, well. Perhaps this kitty learned his lesson and will no longer try to help his human in the garden. And he better stay away from the lawn mower!
Don't Bee Sad
It's hard to tell if this is a Rottweiler puppy or a Doberman Pinscher puppy. Why? Because the poor pup's nose is so puffy! This little one had a run in with a bee. There's no doubt. While it may look cute, bee stings can be very dangerous to both people and animals.
Some humans and canines are allergic to bee stings. If so, they can go into anaphylactic shock. They can also die. That's why it's very important for pet owners to seek medical attention when their animals show signs of being stung by a bee. You can't be too safe.
Couch Potato
We all know that cats love inserting themselves into tiny spaces. There's something comforting about it. Maybe they like enclosed spaces because it makes them feel safe. Whatever the reason, cats often get themselves into some interesting predicaments when they try to seclude themselves. Take this cat. He took a nosedive between some couch cushions and somehow managed to get stuck.
We can't tell whether it's his two front paws or back paws that are sticking out as though signaling for help. Couches are supposed to be comfortable, but this cat looks anything but. Next time, he should sleep on the cushions, not behind them.
Team Player
This dog looks ashamed. She knows she did something bad. Somehow she managed to get her head stuck into some sort of racket. It's unclear exactly what type of sports equipment she has on her head. It's too small to be a tennis racket, so perhaps it's for beach ping pong or some equivalent activity.
Either way, the dog is unhappy. And we can't blame her. Hopefully, she's not in any pain and is just embarrassed by her predicament. Dogs may not be as curious as cats, but they can also easily get themselves into trouble. Hopefully, the racket was easy to remove.
Puffy Chin
This cat either tried to eat a bee or a bee stung its chin. Look at how the poor guy's face is swollen. It's a good bet that he's not feeling very well after encountering a bee. Vets advise that you closely monitor your pet after they are stung by a bee, particularly within the first five to 10 minutes.
If they start vomiting or their gums get pale, that's a sign of anaphylactic shock. They need to immediately be treated with IV fluids, steroids and Benadryl injections. If they aren't treated properly, they may not survive. So pay attention to your pets!
Time To Bee Brave
Aww, this pup looks so tiny! She's new to this world and likely had no idea what bees were capable of doing or the pain they could inject into an unsuspecting canine. See how her tiny little cheeks are so swollen and puffy?
If it wasn't so painful, it would be awfully cute. If a pet is taken to a vet for anaphylactic shock following a bee sting, it's likely they will be kept at the clinic for up to 48 hours before they are released. Once the vet determines they are out of danger, they will be able to go home.
Not A Water Cat
We've all seen dogs hanging out at the pool. They love jumping in the water and swimming with their humans. Some even enjoy sunning themselves on pool floats. But cats are a little different. They are not water lovers like their canine counterparts.
Take this cat. It looks as though he decided to try out a pool float by jumping onto it. He had immediate regrets. He's now stuck in the middle of the pool with no way of escape. Of course, he could jump into the water and swim out. But cats try to avoid getting wet at all costs.
Fun With Packing Materials
You know when you order a package, and it arrives with all sorts of packing material inside? Some of it is okay, such as crushed up paper or inflatable plastic inserts. The worst packing materials are Styrofoam peanuts or whatever this is that the cat got himself into.
These tiny balls of Styrofoam are terrible! We can guess what happened. The human got a package and left the empty box somewhere accessible to the cat. Since cats can't resist cardboard boxes, he jumped right in. We feel really bad for the pet owner. That was probably a disaster to clean up!
Perfect Sized Paw For A High Five
This cat was also stung by a bee. It looks as though she probably swatted a bee, who in turn stung her front paw. Notice how gigantic it is compared to her other paw? She looks like a mutant cat. One way to keep your pets away from bees is by using a border fence around plants that bees like.
That will help keep animals from that area of the garden. If you, your pet, or anyone in your family is allergic to bees, plant jasmine, zinnias, or bright red roses, which are less likely to attract bees, in your yard.
Fenced In
Fences and cats can be a bad combination. Some fences are just fine for felines. They enjoy jumping on them and walking along their edges. But chain link fences are not a cat's friend. Just check out this black cat entangled in a fence.
We're not sure what possessed him to try and get through the tiny spaces between the chains. There is no way that cat can squeeze through the fence. But he obviously thought he could do it. His eyes tell the story. He's quite upset about being stuck, not behind, but between bars. Can we call this kitty jail?
About To Explode
Here's yet another dog that got a little too close to a bee and had to deal with the consequences. Dogs love insects and often encounter them while spending time outdoors. Unfortunately, some of the creatures they encounter are bees, hornets, and wasps.
It's easy to tell if your dog has been stung by a bee because their faces swell, they whine, they drool, and they may paw at their face or eyes. There's no doubt in our minds that this dog was stung by a bee. The swelling is very concerning. Hopefully his owners sought immediate medical attention.
Let The Cat Out Of The Bag
This image is great for a few reasons. First, the cat obviously had to jump off the ground in order to get into the plastic bag. Second, he couldn't fit his whole body in the bag. Third, his little head poking out of the bag is priceless.
What possessed this feline to insert himself into a grocery bag? It's hard to tell what is going on inside the mind of a cat. They do some very strange things sometimes. But they don't know the dangers of plastic bags. To them, it's just a toy. Next time he should stick to paper bags and cardboard boxes.
A Situation I Can't Get Out Of
This hamster is regretting having his female hamster over for a night of hanging out. It seems that she got too attached and now she won't leave his side. The look on his little face says it all: "help me."
It's too bad that he even entertained the idea of hanging out with her, since he probably realized that he wasn't ready for this type of commitment. Jokes aside, this hamster probably just wants to rest without another whole hamster invading his space. Or he's probably mad that he can't even use his hamster wheel.
Why Did I Have So Many Kids?
This dog is surrounded by all her adorable, playful puppies, but the look on her face makes it seem as if she could use a break. Sure, she loves each and every one of her pups, but she misses the days when she could freely go outside and live the carefree life of a single, childless dog.
These puppies turned out to be a handful and their human isn't being very helpful by snapping pictures of her misery. Soon enough they will grow up and not need their mother anymore, so we're sure this dog mom is trying to enjoy it while it lasts.
Diving Head-First Into Regret
This squirrel was probably running around frantically trying to gather food for hibernation season and thought he found the jackpot with this bird feeder. With no birds in sight, he had all those delicious seeds to himself.
The only thing for him to do next was to figure out how to get all these seeds. We guess that this squirrel isn't good at evaluating the size of small places because it seems that he is now stuck in quite a predicament. Sure, he has all these seeds to himself, but just how is he going to get himself out of this?
I Should Have Never Feigned Interest
The look on this dog's face says it all. He totally regrets showing interest in his female friend that is smothering him with unsolicited kisses. Now she will probably want to move into his human's home and start a new family full of little puppies together.
The dog looks as if his life is flashing before his eyes. He'd rather remain the only dog of the house for as long as he can before he has to share all of his food and toys with any other canine. Now he has to think of a way to get out of this relationship he didn't know he asked for in the first place.
Please Stop Laughing At Me
This dog has the ultimate look of shame on his face. His owners are probably laughing their bottoms off as they try to take the fishbowl off of his head. He knows he messed up but just wants you to get this thing off because it's getting hard to breathe!
The poor pup was a little too curious and probably thought that the fishbowl was some sort of ball to play with since it's round. He's learned his lesson and is ready to move on. He probably can't stand another moment of these human's ridicule and picture-taking.
Please Let Me Back Inside
This cat looks scared for its life. He went outside but instantly regretted it upon seeing this unfamiliar creature. Apparently, this cat is too scared to hiss the stranger away because look how big it is! It would definitely win in a fight.
What's worse, is that her human is just sitting on the other side of the door taking a picture of this fearful moment. Cats don't always mesh well with other species and while most of the time we see them get defensive around other animals, it seems that this kitty just isn't up for a fight today.
I Thought I Could Do It
This ferret has a knack for getting in and out of small spaces, but apparently not as small as a toilet paper tube! She probably thought that he could fit into the little tube and slip right out the other end, since her body is long and lean like that.
Well, apparently this ferret had a little more junk in the trunk than she thought because that's where her little crawl fest ended! Now she is stuck with a tube on her body and she can't really do anything about it. At least it looks like she's still having fun.
"Long Live The King"
This cat looks like he is reenacting the infamous scene from The Lion King in which Mufasa dies at the hands (or paws, rather) of his own brother, Scar. If so, then this cat has a pretty good Mufasa impression! All jokes aside, this cat was probably pouncing around the edge of the couch and got a little too overzealous with it.
Now he fell off the edge and for some reason is too afraid to fall down, even though he more than likely will land on his feet. That, or he was resting there and someone pushed him off.
Try The Slide, They Said. It'll Be Fun, They Said.
This bulldog didn't know what to expect when its human was leading him up the stairs of the playground. All of a sudden, his human placed him at the top and let gravity take hold of the situation.
Now this bulldog knows that slides aren't for dogs and he will probably think twice when his owner takes him to an unfamiliar area. The bulldog might have had a little fun at first, but then he picked up too much momentum which is why he didn't have such a graceful landing.
Just Act Natural
There's a chair on me? What chair? I don't see a chair... That's probably what this doggo is thinking because she doesn't want to admit that she messed up big time. How this dog even got herself stuck in a plastic chair is beyond us, but the real challenge here would be to safely get her out of it.
Seriously, look at how the whole chair is literally wrapped around her! Needless to say, next time she should be left in a yard where there aren't contraptions that she can get herself caught in, or else hilariously sad things like this will happen.
Don't Mind Me, Just Scaling A Fence Here
This dog is not sure how he got here but it seems like he's just rolling with it. How could he have possibly got himself stuck in between the fence and the green lining behind it? More importantly, how is he pretty much stuck in mid-air?
He was probably climbing the fence, which some dogs have the ability to do, but didn't get to the other side as swiftly as he would have hoped. Now this poor doggo is just patiently waiting for someone to take get him out of there. Don't worry little pup, help is on the way!
I Shouldn't Have Napped Here
This dog doesn't look pleased to have a rainbow coat and we're sure her owners wouldn't be too pleased either, especially if she was just given a bath! But unfortunately, this dog decided to lie down in the kids' sidewalk art project and probably rolled around a little in the process.
Now, she is a walking rainbow who is probably a little embarrassed that she made such a dumb decision. On a brighter note, we do think that the colors work with her coat! Thankfully, it's just chalk that can easily be washed off with some water.
The Regret That Leaves Us With More Questions
This sad puppy somehow got his head stuck in this green ball! But the question here, is how? The holes that take up the surface of the ball do not appear to be large enough for his head to get through, but somehow, it did and now he is completely stuck.
The real challenge here is to figure out how to get the ball off safely without hurting the dog, but how would one go about that if we can't even figure out how it got on there in the first place? This dog definitely regrets playing with this toy and probably won't ever play with it again.
When The Cat Realizes How High It Is
This cat was probably climbing up the screen door when it realized it was getting pretty high up. Unfortunately, the cat is probably afraid of heights and doesn't want to fall down, but it looks like that is the only option here. The look on his face is hilarious as he holds on for dear life while his human takes a picture and stares in amusement.
We're sure that once this cat finally got down on the ground, it learned its lesson and will never attempt that again. But once he realizes how fun it is to pick at the screen with his claws, he might end up in this regretful situation a second time.
Mission Impossible: House Mouse Edition
This tiny little mouse looks like a character straight out of Mission Impossible as he tries to keep himself up! That, or he is being caught red-handed for sneaking around the house undetected!
Either way, you can see the oceans of regret it his beady little eyes, most likely because he got caught. He was probably trying to climb up the wall to find another safe hiding spot, but his only choice now would be to drop to the ground and scurry away before the human reaches out and grabs him.
This Is Not An Ideal Situation
This cat knows it made a terrible decision in trying to escape to the outside world. Thinking it could easily slip through the holes of that window barrier, it, unfortunately, underestimated its size and now its stuck there until someone comes to its rescue.
The cat is probably thinking to itself, "This is what I get for having big dreams of going out into the world and escaping the oppressive house cat life. Maybe freedom isn't all it's cut out to be." Well, we can definitely say that this cat should want to stay home because of the endless supply of food!
The Binge-Eating Hamster
This hamster got stuck in one of his little hamster holes, probably after stuffing his face with all the little treats that once occupied this bowl. Now he is too chubby to fit through the hole to get to another part of his cage! We're not saying that this little guy should go on a diet or anything, but look at the situation its in because of overeating.
All jokes aside, we hope that this little hamster was able to get out of there without suffocating to death. He probably did, after his owners were done crying from laughter at his little bum sticking out.
No, I Was Not Digging Through The Trash
This dog is caught red-handed for digging around in the trash. While he was having his fun, he got his head stuck in the lid of the trash and unfortunately followed him to his bed. Not only is this incriminating, but it is also a little embarrassing and this dog probably has an immense amount of regret welling up inside him.
Dogs often do things to make a mess and don't usually get away with it anyhow, but it's always hilarious when you catch them in situations like this, so you can't be too mad at them, right?
Don't Mind Me, Just Admiring Your Wardrobe
Cats always like to get themselves into the darkest and most complicated corners of the house and this is a perfect example of that. This cat probably regrets playing around in its human's closet because now it is stuck in all the hangers.
She probably thought it was fun climbing through all the middles of the hangers, but obviously didn't think it all the way through since it's now in this mess! The look on her face spells out regret and shame and total embarrassment. Not only that, now she has to wait for you to come save her.
The Blinds Were A Bad Choice
This cat also made a dumb decision by trying to climb up the blinds! That, or she probably somehow got herself close to the ceiling but fell down, taking the blinds down with her. The cat is looking back at its human knowing that its human is not pleased about this at all, but still amused.
If the cat is smart, it definitely won't try to attempt this again, because next time its human probably won't laugh and stop to take a picture. Needless to say, no look of regret is greater than the one on the face of a pet who is caught in the act.
Puffy Cheeks
Here's another dog that got just a little too close to a bee. It's nearly impossible to teach a dog to stay away from a bee. They use their paws and noses for investigating, and that's usually where they get stung.
When an animal gets stung, there is usually some mild swelling and tenderness in the area. This is considered a localized reaction. Vets advise pet owners to remove the stinger as quickly as possible to prevent the bee's venom from spreading. A stinger can inject venom into a dog or cat for up to two to three minutes after leaving the bee.
