When Donald Trump was elected in 2016, his eldest daughter Ivanka became his right-hand woman. The former model left behind her other ventures to focus on her duties as a White House adviser, but while she put her fashion brand on hiatus, she didn't give up on the style stakes altogether.

Blue In Berlin
The 36-year-old businesswoman kept it on trend when she attended the W20 conference in Berlin last year. Well, one has to look their best when they're on the same panel as royalty, right? Trump's unofficial adviser wore this belted floral number, but that didn't stop her from being booed on stage.
Despite what the audience might think of her dad, no one could knock her style. Ivanka spared no expense for the prestigious event, shelling out almost $2,000 on this flattering Michael Kors number. Queen Máxima of the Netherlands (pictured) also opted for a floral print for the occasion. Who can blame them? Flowers = timeless.
Suffragette White
When it comes to important family events, you can't get more substantial than a presidential inauguration. Both Ivanka and her half-sister Tiffany opted to wear suffragette white to the ceremony, as did Trump's opponent Hillary Clinton.
The asymmetrical wool coat and matching white pants certainly struck the right chord with the media, who praised Ivanka for her simple yet elegant choice. The mother of three is a lifelong fan of designer Oscar de la Renta, having worn several of his outfits to important events over the years. Freedom Ball Princess Gown
There's no better accessory than sequins and sparkles for formal balls. Ivanka pulled out all the stops for the Freedom Ball back in January of 2017, donning this stunning embellished princess gown by Carolina Herrera.
She paired it with gorgeous diamond earrings to complete the outfit. The champagne dress had a v-neck cut with long, sheer sleeves. Ivanka joined a long line of White House women dressed by the fashion house, including Jacqueline Kennedy and Michelle Obama. Herrera has since dressed First Lady Melania Trump in her creations too, calling it an honor and a privilege.
Lady In Red
When it comes to business chic, no one does it better than Ivanka. Who needs a regular ol' suit when you can rock this all-red number while you strut across the White House lawn? The double-breasted red jacket paired with cropped trousers made headlines and style columns worldwide.
Paired with matching stiletto heels, Ivanka wore this incredible ensemble to an important meeting alongside her father and other White House officials. Clearly feeling the suit, she kept it on to board a flight to Tampa later the same day. The President was probably a fan too, as red is his favorite color.
Capitol Chic
Say what you want about the current administration, but one thing can't be denied...Ivanka Trump has brought some much-needed glamour into the equation. Board meetings can often be dull, but that doesn't mean that you have to dress to match.
Ivanka sported this gorgeous business outfit back in July as she arrived at Capitol Hill. A simple navy blue blouse complete with white detailing is carefully tucked into a pleated midi skirt that is long enough to be business wear, but stylish enough to be noted. On a scale of one to ten, we would definitely give this outfit a ten.
Buttoned-Down Babe
Someone has to hold down the fort while dad's out of town, and a lot of the time it's Ivanka who is tasked with keeping things in order at the White House. The aide and her husband live in the stylish area of Kalorama in D.C. but are often at the POTUS residence for business and pleasure.

Before she assumed her official duties after Donald Trump's election, Ivanka was a staple on the New York social scene. Here, she's pictured attending the 2016 Met Gala alongside her husband. Ivanka proved that blondes and red go together like milk and cookies with this Ralph Lauren jumpsuit.
The scarlet outfit suited her down to the ground, showing off her trim physique. Amazingly, Ivanka had given birth to her third child only five weeks prior to the event. The POTUS was a regular guest at the event prior to his election too, even proposing to Melania during the 2004 gala.
Opening Glory
Unless you've been living under a rock, then you'll know that the Trump name has been famous for decades thanks to the now-president's entrepreneurial prowess. In 2016, Ivanka helped her dad at the opening of the Trump International Hotel in Washington.
The form-fitting pale dress with an asymmetrical neckline and fluted sleeves was a star attraction, elegant and beautifully designed. Not many people can carry off both subtle and bold tones, but Ivanka can. The businesswoman and brand owner finished off the polished look with a statement red lip and loosely waved tresses. Pretty In Pink
If there was an important New York City event, you could bet your bottom dollar that Ivanka Trump was on the guest list. Back in 2015, the pregnant beauty attended Glamour's 25th Woman of the Year awards, posing on the red carpet in her pretty pink gown.
Who said that pregnancy style had to be boring? Ivanka's Giambattista Valli ruffled gown perfectly accentuated her blossoming baby bump, which she lovingly cradled for photographers. The dress was custom made for the heiress, so probably cost more than our rent. Weep. Ivanka accessorized with a rose gold clutch and simple hanging earrings.
Ballet Belle
Pamella Roland was responsible for Ivanka's sultry gown at the New York City Ballet Fall Gala in 2015. At this point the mom of two was pregnant with her third child, with just the slightest hint of a bump showing. The sleeveless black gown with blue floral details was a serious style moment for Trump.
"Only one word to describe Ivanka Trump's pregnancy style so far," said E!. "Stunning!" The mogul paired her look with strappy black sandals, black earrings, and a clutch from her own fashion collection. When her father entered the White House, Ivanka stopped working on her brand to concentrate on political affairs.
Red Carpet Sass
The 2014 Met Gala drew some seriously amazing dresses that will go down in style history. Many celebrities brought their A-game for this one, and Ivanka's gown wasn't to be missed either. The lime green dress split style experts' opinions down the middle, with some calling it heavy.
On the other hand, there were those (like us) who thought the entrepreneur looked stunning. Ivanka wore her hair piled high on her head, giving the Oscar de la Renta gown the attention it deserved by leaving the statement jewelry at home. Honestly, how did this look end up on the worst dressed list? It's a mystery.
Killer Co-Ord
As one of her father's top advisers, speaking at important meetings is old hat to Ivanka now, and you better believe that she's going to dress the part. It's no secret that it can be difficult for women to be taken seriously in politics, but Ivanka is paving the way for future generations.
She looked every bit the professional as she delivered her thoughts to the Interagency Task Force earlier this year alongside the POTUS, wearing a simple cream skirt suit with a statement belt. These waist-hugging belts are a staple of Ivanka's White House wardrobe, and we can see why.
Timeless Tiers
What better way to honor the President of France than by throwing him a fancy state dinner at dad's house? Ivanka attended the event back in April of this year with her husband, and her outfit hit all the right notes.
The pink polka dot gown was designed by Rodarte, made out of pale tulle falling in tiers. This high-fashion moment cost $12,888 - ouch. Still, at least we can rest assured that the cash came from Ivanka's pocket and not the taxpayers. The adviser kept her hair simple in a stylish up-do and finished off the look with a bold red lip.
'70s Style
Remember a decade ago when you threw out all of your flares to jump on the skinny jean trend? Well, it might have been a mistake. Skinny jeans are still a popular look that's held pretty steadfast in the fashion world, but over the last couple of years wide-legged trousers have been making a powerful comeback.
Ivanka wore these high-waisted beige trousers paired with a cream blouse and black stilettos to accompany the POTUS on a trip to Camp David earlier this year. Her half-sister Tiffany (far left) looks a little less business-ready than her fashionista sister, doesn't she?
Black And White Beauty
We love a bold print, and when you throw black and white into the mix you're onto a real winner. Ivanka stood out from the crowd in this tiered number at the Team USA Awards in April of 2018. The lace number divided opinion, but at least it was a little cheaper than her state dinner dress.
The Nalani fit-and-flare lace midi dress was by Alexis, retailing at a modest $1,085. The President's eldest daughter wore a pair of pumps from her own brand, Ivanka, so presumably didn't pay a penny for those and just dipped into her enviable archives.
Copper Goddess
What better way to celebrate the launch of your jewelry line than by wearing a stunning rust-colored dress to a Du Jour Magazine event held in your honor? Back in 2014, Ivanka proved that she knew how to party in Vegas with the best of them.
The beautiful silk dress was a hit with the tabloids who shared snaps of the raucous night out far and wide. Trump's eldest daughter completed the look with a gold clutch and black and gold pumps. These days, of course, Ivanka has a certain decorum she has to uphold, trading nights out on the town for board meetings and galas.
Knockout Nude
Just like how Meghan Markle had to tone down her wardrobe when she became the Duchess of Sussex, as soon as Donald Trump hit the campaign trail Ivanka had to give herself a style overhaul. These days, the 36-year-old opts for simple, elegant designs. Back in 2016, she wore this beautifully cut nude dress to give a talk at a Republican convention.
Needless to say, Ivanka did her dad proud and clearly has a knack for public speaking. There's a reason why people say she's a huge asset to the current administration - and it's more than just her killer style.
Poppin' Poppies
An election campaign means an awful lot of public appearances, each needing new and interesting outfits. Ivanka wore this metallic floral number for her segment on Fox and Friends back in 2016. The scoop-neck sleeveless dress worked well for the video cameras, but looked even better when she was photographed entering the building.
The sun accentuated the metallic detailing in a way that the studio lights didn't, but either way, the look served Ivanka well. She accessorized with two gold bracelets and a matching ring, while keeping her hair straight and sleek for the segment. Black pumps finished off the look.
Princess Peach
Ivanka gave off some serious Jacqueline Kennedy vibes in this incredible A-line skirt suit last year. The adviser wore the daring suit while giving a speech at the World Assembly Meeting for Women in Tokyo, going against the traditional grain of 'muted, non-attention drawing colors' of Japanese businesswomen.
One eagle-eyed fashion fan managed to track down the suit as a Miu Miu creation, with some Twitter users asking if the short length was setting appropriate, given the conservative nature of the Japanese government. Others praised the POTUS' daughter for adding some much-needed glamour to the proceedings. What do you think about it?

When it comes to events, the G20 Summit is a big deal. As an adviser, Ivanka is expected to attend come hell or high water, and she certainly turned heads when she arrived arm-in-arm with her husband, wearing a striking blue and white dress.
The sky-blue floral number was matched with simple nude pumps and diamond drop earrings, carefully selected to complement her husband's navy suit. Of course, there are a ton of things more important at the G20 Summit than what Ivanka Trump was wearing, but it's nice to have some light relief from the heaviness of politics, isn't it?
