It's amazing to see celebrities in awkward moments since they usually seem so glamorous. But there are times when they prove to the world they're just regular people, tripping over their shoes, giving awkward handshakes, and goofing around with their friends.
While us normal folk don't have to worry about a picture being taken each time we do something questionable, stars don't have that luxury. Coming to you from various red carpet events, here are some of the more memorable awkward celebrity moments.
Jason Segal's Strut Being Interrupted By A Vacuum
When it comes to red carpet events, especially the Oscars, some things are certain to happen. One, actors are going to dazzle in gorgeous formal wear. Two, there will be more than one awkward interview. And three, more designer names will be uttered during that one event than the entire year.
But actor Jason Segel wasn't anticipating a fourth occurrence: a worker taking the time to vacuum the red carpet while the event was taking place!
Reese Witherspoon Giving Nicole Kidman A Gladiator Handshake
Reese Witherspoon is one of those celebrities that looks cute no matter what they do, including awkward situations on the red carpet. Here, the Academy Award-winning actress is seen with her Big Little Lies costar Nicole Kidman, who is laughing for a specific reason.
The reason being Witherspoon's awkward gladiator-esque handshake! Ms. Witherspoon, we promise your peer doesn't have a weapon tucked under her dress. And we know this because she's not wearing any sleeves.
David Oyelowo Not Trusting Michael Keaton's Hug
One of the more memorable red carpet moments at the 87th Annual Academy Awards was between actor David Oyelowo and Michael Keaton. Now, these two were competitors for a lot of the 2015 award season, with Oyelowo being nominated for his role in Selma and Keaton for Birdman.
But Oyelowo wasn't nominated for an Oscar, leading to the Batman actor going in for a "no hard feelings" hug and leaving photographers with this marvelously awkward picture.
Claudio Miranda's Daughter Making Tiger Faces
Nothing says "number one fan" quite like Life of Pi cinematographer Claudio Miranda's daughter, Sophia. This little girl stole the show on the 85th Annual Academy Awards red carpet. Not because she looked adorable in her pink ballerina dress, but because she proved that she was 100 percent there for her dad's Oscar nomination for best cinematography.
This little girl went all out, bringing a stuffed tiger to the ceremony while baring her teeth and "claws" for the camera. "Pi" Patel and his Bengal tiger boatmate would've been proud.

Helen Mirren is known for a lot of things, namely the critically acclaimed films she's starred in throughout her career. But at the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival, she became known for two more things.
One being her gorgeous floor-length emerald green gown, and the second being nearly face-planting on the red carpet because of the first thing! But, as Dame Helen Mirren does, she fell with grace and poise and didn't say one bad word at the people who snapped this picture.
Alysia Reiner Having Her Train Fixed
In 2015, Orange is the New Black actress Alysia Reiner arrived on the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet looking stunning in a floor-length off-the-shoulder scarlet ballgown. Her hair makeup was done to perfection, and not one hair was out of place.
What was out of place, though, was the train of her mermaid-style dress! Who could forget the moment she began getting twisted up in her gown, only to have one of the ceremony workers come to her rescue. Priceless.

It was the turn of the century, so something was going to happen during the 2000 Academy Award Ceremony. But we'll bet money no one thought that "something" was going to be Marc Shaiman and the creators of South Park dressing in some of the most memorable outfits from the '90s.
Shaiman opted for a very Justin Timberlake-esque fuzzy blue coat and hat while Matt Stone is wearing a pink dress very similar to Gwyneth Paltrow's dress from the previous year. Then, there's Trey Park, who decided JLo's iconic green Versace dress was the way to go.
Jessica Alba Taking A Tumble At The Teen Choice Awards
Actress Jessica Alba was all over the place in the early 2000s, with her roles in Entourage, Fantastic Four, and Into the Blue. So, it was only right for her to be invited to the Teen Choice Awards in 2006, receiving a nomination for "Choice Female Hottie."
It's too bad that she's not really remembered for winning the award, and more so for falling on the award carpet before even making it inside the venue. Whoops.

Ralph Fiennes is known for his incredible stage acting and serious roles in critically acclaimed films such as Schindler's List. So, when he stepped out on the EE British Academy Film Awards red carpet in 2015, his pose was pretty, shall we say, out of character!
Who would have thought the actor who plays He Who Must Not Be Named could look so posh posing in a bow tie and three-piece suit? The actor's sassy appearance is definitely one of the more memorable red carpet moments.
