Times Nature Had Us Pleasantly Surprised
Nature will always be there to keep us on our toes. Weather can change in an instant, the seasons come and go when they please, and who even knows what's going on with the clouds sometimes?!
So, it can feel even more special when we stumble across something that's a bit smaller than all that, that feels like it might have been made just for us!
Looks Like It's Fake
But it's not! This perfect purple flower that looks like it's a scene from outer space is totally real.
Who else would want a whole bunch of these growing around their home?
That's A Lot Of Skulls
There is something a bit eerily peaceful about this view in the forest. I wonder what they are all doing collected in the woods like that together.
Maybe it's the work of hungry wolves or hunters.
They Look So Soft
This perfectly golden bumblebee looks so fuzzy. It landed on the side of someone's car, probably just to visit and show off their beautiful highlights to the world.
We deserve to know.
Just One Green Grape
If you came to the grocery store and found a bunch of purple grapes with one random green one in it, would you be more inclined to buy it or less?
Do you think it tastes sour?
Someone Looks Hungry
Always be careful before you turn your BBQ on at the start of spring.
There might be some sweet little babies nesting in there waiting for mama to get back to feed them.
It Looks Like Blood Vessels
Someone came across this old bottle somewhere in the woods to find a perfectly preserved, tiny ecosystem growing in it.
The red is so striking, and it's neat to see nature find a way.
So Fancy
Finding these beauties at the bottom of a maple syrup container is always a treat.
They're made when the sugar crystallizes after sitting in the fridge for a while. They look like jewels.
I've Never Seen Anything Like It
This glass ball washed up on shore with its own tiny world growing on it.
The glass ball is probably an old fisherman's float, and that means that it might have been floating around the ocean for 70 years.
It Looks Like A Heart
Nature is at the heart of all things, so it would only make sense that the heart would show every once in a while.
Plus, we like to see ourselves in things that aren't exactly human.
Something About This Is Satisfying
The roots from the grass started taking over these old headstones and started growing in the same pattern of the letters.
Peeling it back would be so satisfying, especially seeing those letters on the underside.
Gotta Love That Blue
What are the chances of seeing a freshly molted cicada next to its old skin?
They come out such a pretty color. Did you know that they can be so pretty?
This Tree Has A Mind Of Its Own
Nature always finds a way to start taking back over what humans have touched.
This tree is a feisty one and looks like it took a big bite out of this headstone.
They're Pink!
Who doesn't love a fruit that actually comes in tiny and pink?!
These little pineapples aren't actually safe for eating, but that's beside the point. Wouldn't you want to stare at them forever?
Look At Those Colors
These people were having a peaceful bonfire only to be even more thrilled by the brilliant colors that came from throwing pinecones into the blaze.
Doesn't it look absolutely magical?
Looks Like A Video Game
The way this dead branch broke away from the tree looks like it's something out of Minecraft.
You know that super pixelated look that's so iconic? Maybe it's nature and technology coming together.
Looking Lovely In Pink
These flowers blooming in a garden in Japan look like they are a geometric wonder. Nature will always be so surprising like that.
All the important things we understand in the world come from observing nature!
They're Napping Together!
These bees will sleep for about five hours every day.
When they do sleep, they like to do it in a flower holding the hands of another bee! How cute is that?
Just Some New Growth
This tiny plant is the plant that could! It's growing out of a crack in the counter of this person's kitchen.
Now the real question is, do you let it grow or not?
It Took A Minute To See Them
This person was doing some renovations and found out that a lizard was using the space around their outlet as a safe space to lay her eggs!
Let's hope they move out after they hatch.
Looks Like Someone Has Some Visitors
This person was just relaxing in their home, minding their own business, when they noticed that they had some unexpected visitors!
Don't worry, after a while, they were polite and got the hint to leave.
Who Doesn't Love A Pepper?
How good of a mood would you be in if you were slicing up a pepper, and you looked down to see it smiling back at you?
It's the little things, you know?
That's One Red Apple
Do you think that this super red apple would be overly sweet or extra sour?
Either way, it's a beautiful shade of crimson. It almost feels like there should be a fairy tale written about it.
Hiking Trail Ahead
A long time ago, someone posted a sign on this tree that outlined the hiking trails ahead.
The tree must not have taken kindly to the sign but still liked being helpful, so it left the little walking man.
Life Finds A Way
This rotting apple was left in the orchard, and it looks like the seeds inside decided they wanted to grow into a tree.
Maybe the seeds will make some apples that are more desirable.
Jackpot!
How thrilled would you be if you picked up this avocado and began slicing it, only to see that not only was it perfectly ripe, but there was no pit in the middle?!
These are the chosen avocados.
How Beautiful Is That?
The ice that's been covering all these leaves is beginning to melt a bit, which is nice because that means that you can peel off that small layer of ice and have a leaf that looks like it's made of glass.
It's a shame that this will melt away eventually.
What Are The Chances?
This perfectly square cloud isn't photoshopped!
It was taken on a plane on a super clear day where you could see two different air systems coming together and forming perfectly straight edges.
That's Quite The Find
This person was out on a hike and found this 1,000-year-old Viking sword tucked 5,400 feet up on a mountain somewhere in southern Norway.
Talk about taking home the catch of the day.
Perfectly Ripe And Delicious
Sometimes, the coolest finds in nature are the ones that you find in your own backyard. Like these tomatoes that are growing in a perfect gradient.
They're going to taste so good when they are ripe.
You Can Barely See Them
Isn't it neat, the things that certain creatures come up with to defend themselves?
This butterfly is almost perfectly transparent, except for what lets it blend into the world around them.
A Morbid, But Respectful, Reminder
This poor little fox lost its life after falling into a frozen lake in Germany.
Not to have its sacrifice go unnoticed, a local cut the fox out and placed him atop the ice to warn others of the danger.
The Color Of The Wood Is Amazing
This rainbow-colored wood comes from a poplar tree. It's what happens when they grow in certain soils that have mineral imbalances.
They're actually quite rare. Finding this wood means it survived.
Isn't That Interesting
This rose grew with two little swirls in the middle instead of one.
Everyone likes getting flowers, but getting these ones would feel extra special because it's so unique. Don't you think?
That's A Lot Of Snails
This person was collecting a bunch of snails to let go somewhere other than their yard.
What they didn't realize was how much snails hate the feeling of copper! It makes a chemical reaction that doesn't feel good.
What Lovely Highlights
They may look like something that isn't meant to be, but squirrels can come in many different colors, even mixed colors.
It just depends on their genes and what's passed down from their parents.
It's Kind Of Cute
No one likes having a cut, it sucks to hurt yourself.
But, at least this one is healing up in the shape of a heart. Their body is taking care of them.
You Can Barely See Them
You almost can't see this little tiny praying mantis, they're so small! Imagine finding one in your garden?
It makes you wonder how many you've just passed by because you couldn't see them.
What A Tiny Tree
This little plant growing out of the ground looks like a small tree, doesn't it?
Apparently, this particular plant is called a petty spurge and it's actually poisoness, especially for your pets.
What A Beautiful Sky
The way these clouds look like rainbows is breathtaking and it's really a sight to see.
It happens when the setting sun reflects in the water droplets in the clouds a certain way.
Do You Think It Tastes The Same?
Who knew so many weird things could happen with eggs?
This one has an ombre look which is quite fetching as far as eggs go. It's almost a shame to cook it!
