Meghan Markle has long had an interest in fashion, well before marrying Harry. The stylish lady used to indulge in a lifestyle blog before becoming a royal. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, and everything in between catches her eye. With so much energy and time invested, Markle has a number of go-to designers she relies on for casual and significant events. You never know, she might like some of the same fashion lines you or your friends enjoy. Continue reading to find out what Meghan Markle's favorite brands are.

A Fan Of Mother Denim

Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding founded MOTHER in 2010, determined to do denim differently. Whatever their plan was, it certainly caught Meghan's attention! She wore the Mother's The Looker Ankle Fray jeans at the Invictus Games in September of 2018.

In January of 2019, nearly 4,000 people waited to purchase a pair of the jeans, too. They're a classic style with a tear at the knee and a worn-in feel at the hem, but that's implied in the name "Looker Ankle."

Keeping It Simple With H&M

H&M might not be a designer brand, but that didn't stop Meghan from sporting a dress from the clothing store during a visit to The Mayhew Charity. For less than $30, Markle still looked stylish while petting the dogs at the center.

The maternity dress would end up selling out in moments, and began going for double the price on eBay! The sad part is that H & M never restocked the product, but there are others very similar to it.

J.Crew For The Win

J.Crew is another popular brand among the masses. It isn't too expensive, but it's also not the cheapest, so their clothing carries more quality than other easily-accessible brands. During a 2018 trip to Birmingham, Meghan wore a navy wool coat from J.Crew.

As expected, the item sold out, but the shop had other items that were very similar to the style Markle wore. The white detail on the collar is a nice touch that makes this coat stand out more.

Well before Harry asked for her hand in marriage and gave her a priceless ring, Ms. Markle already had a pretty fancy piece of hand jewelry. It was the Peacemaker Ring from BaubleBar.

The intricate design is an easy eye-grabber, as it wraps completely around two fingers. According to the BaubleBar website, "We translate the trends you're coveting right now into a wide range of jewelry and accessories." Judging how on-trend Markle is, this sounds like a perfect place for her to shop.

In her first pictures after having a child, Meghan donned a chic trench dress designed by London-based brand Wales Bonner. While many marveled at the new mom's outfit, most people had no clue they would never be able to afford her outfit.

Not too long after that event, Markle stepped out in a more affordable Banana Republic version during her African Royal Tour. The outfit was perfect for a visit to the University of Johannesburg, and plenty of people bought it after seeing Meghan in it.

Meghan packed plenty of fashion when it was time for her Royal Tour of Africa. At a meeting with the female entrepreneurs at the Woodstock Exchange, she put on an Everlane jumpsuit, which looked fabulous.

The name of the wide-legged all-black outfit is The Japanese Jumpsuit and it goes for $120 in America. As of 2020, it's available for purchase and you'd get a deal on it since the original retail price was $250. If you had attempted to purchase it the moment after Markle wore it, you would've been out of luck.

During a visit to Fraser Island in 2018, Markle wore a gorgeous linen dress. The brand is Reformation, and they're Los Angeles-based. Reformation focuses on sustainability, so naturally, eco-friendly Markle enjoyed showcasing them.

Fans adored it and the item sold out almost instantly. The particular design isn't available anymore, but the line carries a ton of other fashionable items that any style guru would love to be seen stepping out in.

When it comes to these shoes, Meghan Markle isn't the only one who adores them. She and Kate Middleton both love stepping out in their Castañer wedges during the warmer months.

It's a Spanish brand that specializes in espadrilles, but the Carina style is the royal favorite! Markle prefers to wear the black color that tends to match almost everything she wears. She sported these cute wedges on her trip to Fiji (seen in the image) and also during her Royal Tour of South Africa when she wore a blue shirt-dress.

In 2019, the brand announced a restock of the dress in multiple colors that its fashionable fans really loved. There was the basic black and a chic camel tone offered as well.

One of Meghan Markle's favorite brands for slipper flats has to be Birdies. She's been a fan since before marrying Harry, but it wasn't until she wore them with him during their royal tour of New Zealand that the brand received tons of buzz.

The black ones you see her wearing in this photo sold out immediately and created a waiting list of 30,000 people. It took a while for them get back in stock, but they've returned!

In the early 2010s, Kate Middleton wore the British brand Reiss, which helped them see an incredible uptick in sales. People labeled it the "Kate Effect." In 2019, Markle donned the brand on International Women's Day.

Her outfit of choice was a printed, '60s-inspired shift dress featuring balloon sleeves with a high collar. It was how she styled it that gave the look more sizzle. Markle threw on an Alexander McQueen blazer on top, while carrying a Stella McCartney clutch bag.

Wow, Markle's first public outing with Harry caused quite the commotion. During their day at the Invictus Games, Markle helped three different brands increase their sales in a matter of hours, especially Finlay & Co.

The glasses she wore were by Finlay & Co, a London-based brand. It's no shock that she helped the company bring in around $25,000 in one night. If there's a Kate Effect, then you can believe there's a Meghan Effect as well. The glasses cost $180.

Ralph Lauren is an affordable luxury brand, and Markle loves to step out wearing their products. At the Wimbledon Final in 2016, she wore a simple black Ralph Lauren dress.

The thing that makes the brand a great fit for Markle is that it can be dressed up or down. It's classy, trendy, and carries a California-country feel to it as well. Meghan wears it often, particularly to tennis matches, like in 2018 when she enjoyed watching Serena Williams on the court.

We briefly touched on Meghan and her Stella McCartney clutch when discussing handbags, but let's dive in a little deeper. Stella McCartney is a brand she enjoys often, sporting their trainers, dresses, and tailored coats, but her evening gown on her wedding day was immaculate.

The halter-neck she wore with Harry showcased how much she loves the brand. Markle could easily wear whatever she desired, but she went with Stella McCartney on one of the biggest days of her life. Fans can now buy it as part of the designer's bridal collection.

Grace Wales Bonner started her menswear line in 2014, which explored her mixed-race background and gender through her clothes. The brand launched a women's line in 2018.

In Meghan's first appearance post-childbirth, she wore the brand with conviction. She and Harry posed in the Windsor Castle looking as happy as could be with their new child. With Markle being of mixed-race descent as well, she showed support for the emerging Wales Bonner.

The brand you choose for your wedding day says a lot. Meghan Markle elected to go with Givenchy, and ever since Clare Waight Keller designed her dress, they've worked together multiple times.

We're guessing that Keller doesn't usually make as many custom pieces for other clients as she does for Meghan, especially after the Duchess presented her with the Womenswear Designer of the Year award at the 2019 Fashion Awards. Here, she's carrying a sleek Givenchy bag.

Embracing British Brands

Something Markle does well is adapting. With Burberry being one of the essential British brands, she embraced it immaculately after moving to England. She put on a tartan wool coat from the fashion house during a visit to Scotland, and it looked lovely.

She further embraced the country's heritage later on in 2018 when she stepped out in a signature trench coat during a visit to New Zealand. Burberry is a favorite of many other royals too, not just Meghan.

Markle figured out how she enjoys wearing her jewelry. Layering is her go-to style for the ornaments she wears, and she always nails it. With multiple rings, gold tones, and delicate bracelets, one of the favorite brands she wears to pull this off is Missoma.

They're a British brand, and if you're looking to buy something on the affordable side, then your best bet would be their interstellar ring, rainbow moonstone leaf bracelet, or the open heart signet.

The American brand Brandon Maxwell is one of Markle's favorites. She's worn Brandon Maxwell on multiple occasions, like this time she was bright in yellow at the Commonwealth Youth Challenge reception.

There was another occasion when she wore a nude-toned number in London toward the end of her pregnancy. Maxwell launched his line in 2015, after years of success as Lady Gaga's stylist. Oprah and Blake Lively are others who enjoy the line's designs.

In her first public appearance with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle decided to wear a shirt from a friend's clothing line, which was perfect for the occasion. Markle is close friends with the designer of Misha Nonoo, and the name of the blouse she wore was The Husband Shirt.

For $185, you can dress like Meghan, but we can't help but feel that she wanted to a statement by wearing a shirt that has her friend's name on it during her first public appearance with Harry.
