Stars Shine At The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Here’s What They Wore

The biggest stars in music gathered for the 62nd Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 26, 2020. The non-televised portion of the awards show started with a moment of silence for Kobe Bryant. One of the greatest NBA players in history and a former Los Angeles Laker, the world woke up Sunday morning to learn of his tragic death caused by a helicopter accident. As all musicians know, the show must go on, and the red carpet did not disappoint at this year's Grammys. Here are the gowns and looks that had everyone talking.

Blake Shelton Helped Make Gwen Stefani's Dress!

Music artist and The Voice judge Gwen Stefani arrived at the Grammy Awards wearing a Dolce and Gabbana cream-colored beaded and shell detailed strapless dress. She paired the fun yet formal look with matching thigh-high heeled boots.

Her boyfriend Blake Shelton was up for the Best Country Solo Performance award for "God's Country", but lost to Willie Nelson. Surprisingly, he collected some of the shells featured on Stefani's custom-made dress himself! Stefani has won one Grammy Award in her career but wasn't up for any awards this year.

Jessie Reyez Was Nominated For Her First Grammy

Singer and songwriter Jessie Reyez stunned at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in a strapless red gown. The gorgeous flowing gown was designed by Canadian Romona Keveza.

Reyez was nominated for her first Grammy of her career for her EP Being Human in Public. Although her first nomination is exciting, she's up against some tough competition in her category for Best Urban Contemporary Album, including Lizzo, who has eight Grammy nominations.

Legendary artist Gloria Gaynor won the award for the Best Roots Gospel Album for Testimony that was released in June 2019. The album reached No. 4 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart.

It was her second Grammy award win of Gaynor's career, the first being 40 years ago for the hit single "I Will Survive" in 1980. Arriving at the show wearing an elegant pink gown, also performed at the Grammy Awards that night.

Lizzo was one of the most-watched women of the night for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. The artist was up for an incredible eight awards- the most of anyone for the 2020 year. Her nominations include Artist of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist. She took home three Grammys; Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Jermone", Best Pop Solo Performance for "Truth Hurts", and Best Urban Contemporary Album for "Cuz I Love You (Deluxe)".

Artist Rosalia was up for two Grammys in the Best New Artist and Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album categories and took home the latter. She's the first artist to win in that category with an album that's spoken almost entirely in Spanish.

The Spanish-born 26-year-old has been nominated for five Latin Grammy Awards and two American Grammys. Rosalia walked the red carpet in a stunning red collared dress with fringe detailing. Her long silver nails looked dazzling during her performance.

Broadway performing artist Billy Porter didn't disappoint with his red carpet-worthy attire for the evening. Stylist Sam Ratelle worked with Porter to put together his look that they call, "disco glam". Scott Sudenberg also had a hand in Porter's outfit, helping design the motorized hat that would mechanically move the fringe to reveal his face.
