Stars Shine At The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Here’s What They Wore
The biggest stars in music gathered for the 62nd Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 26, 2020. The non-televised portion of the awards show started with a moment of silence for Kobe Bryant. One of the greatest NBA players in history and a former Los Angeles Laker, the world woke up Sunday morning to learn of his tragic death caused by a helicopter accident. As all musicians know, the show must go on, and the red carpet did not disappoint at this year's Grammys. Here are the gowns and looks that had everyone talking.
Blake Shelton Helped Make Gwen Stefani's Dress!
Music artist and The Voice judge Gwen Stefani arrived at the Grammy Awards wearing a Dolce and Gabbana cream-colored beaded and shell detailed strapless dress. She paired the fun yet formal look with matching thigh-high heeled boots.
Her boyfriend Blake Shelton was up for the Best Country Solo Performance award for "God's Country", but lost to Willie Nelson. Surprisingly, he collected some of the shells featured on Stefani's custom-made dress himself! Stefani has won one Grammy Award in her career but wasn't up for any awards this year.
Jessie Reyez Was Nominated For Her First Grammy
Singer and songwriter Jessie Reyez stunned at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in a strapless red gown. The gorgeous flowing gown was designed by Canadian Romona Keveza.
Reyez was nominated for her first Grammy of her career for her EP Being Human in Public. Although her first nomination is exciting, she's up against some tough competition in her category for Best Urban Contemporary Album, including Lizzo, who has eight Grammy nominations.
Adrienne Warren Wows in Gold
Actress, singer and dancer Adrienne Warren attended the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards swearing a stunning gold gown. She paired the look with elegant matching heels with ankle straps.
Warren most recently played the starring role of Tina Turner in the Broadway musical Tina. She's been nominated for a Tony Award and a Laurence Olivier Award but hasn't taken home a Grammy yet! Still, she's a candidate for Best Dressed of the night.
Malina Moye Has Been Named Best Dressed at the Grammys Before
Malina Moye is one talented woman. She's not only a singer-songwriter, but a guitarist, model, and an actress. The left-hander is known to play her Fender guitar flipped upside down like Jimi Hendrix.
In 2010 she was named Best Dressed of the Grammy Awards and in 2012 Glamour also named her one of the best dressed. Will she make the list again with this classic dark blue dress with low neckline and slit? We'll have to wait and see!
Ariana Grande Stunned in A Grey Gown, Nominated for Album of the Year
Ariana Grande was nominated for Album of the Year for Thank U, Next, up against Bon Iver, Lana Del Ray, Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Lil Nas X, Lizzo, and Vampire Weekend. The artist wore an eye-catching ruffled grey gown with plenty of volume.
She donned her signature long ponytail with smokey eye make-up and pink lipstick. Grande paired the look with long grey gloves and diamond earrings. She has received one Grammy Award and several nominations over her career.
Saweetie's First Grammy Awards
Singer-rapper Saweetie attended the big night wearing a stunning gown. It was her first time attending the Grammy Awards, wearing an exclusive gown chosen by her stylist, Jeremy Scott paired with plenty of dazzling rings.
"I've never really worn a gown yet," she admitted. Saweetie said she was inspired by a speech P Diddy made the night before "It's a new decade. I gotta step my game up," she told the Grammy red carpet hosts.

Victoria's Secret model Grace Elizabeth is right at home on the red carpet at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. She attended the event wearing a shining silver backless gown with crossed straps.

Esperanza Spalding Was The First Jazz Artist to Win Best New Artist Nine Years Ago
Four-time Grammy award winner Esperanza Spalding attended the big night wearing a vibrant floral jumpsuit paired with silver flats. She was the first jazz artist in Grammy history to win the Best New Artist category when she was given the honor at the 53rd Annual Grammys.
This year she was nominated in the category for Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals for "12 Little Spells". The award ended up going to Jacob Collier for "All Night Long".
Imua Garza and Kimié Miner Brought The Aloha Spirit
Imua Garza and Kimié Miner attended the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards together. Kimié wore an elegant off-the-shoulder deep green dress with a slit. She also wore an incredible diamond piece that wrapped around the back of her ear. Garza donned a traditional lei, representing their home state of Hawai'i.
Miner was nominated for the Grammy Award in the Best Regional Roots Music category as a producer of Hawaiian Lullaby. Even though she didn't take home any hardware, the producer and singer-songwriter was all smiles walking the red carpet for the big night.
Gloria Gaynor Won Her Second Grammy, 40 Years Apart
Legendary artist Gloria Gaynor won the award for the Best Roots Gospel Album for Testimony that was released in June 2019. The album reached No. 4 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart.
It was her second Grammy award win of Gaynor's career, the first being 40 years ago for the hit single "I Will Survive" in 1980. Arriving at the show wearing an elegant pink gown, also performed at the Grammy Awards that night.
Lana Del Rey Shined in a Silver "Last-Minute" Gown
Lana Del Rey has had a total of six Grammy award nominations in her career. This year, the singer was up for two Grammys. She rocked the red carpet in a shiny, silver gown with fringe detailing.
The artist told Grammys red carpet hosts, "I had another dress and then my boyfriend and I were getting a belt for him at the mall, and I saw this and I loved it. So this is a last-minute dress. But I love it!" It was also her first time walking the red carpet with her boyfriend, Sean "Sticks" Larsen.
Lizzo Has The Most Nominations and Put On A Killer Performance
Lizzo was one of the most-watched women of the night for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. The artist was up for an incredible eight awards- the most of anyone for the 2020 year. Her nominations include Artist of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist. She took home three Grammys; Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Jermone", Best Pop Solo Performance for "Truth Hurts", and Best Urban Contemporary Album for "Cuz I Love You (Deluxe)".
She walked the red carpet in an Old Hollywood glam-inspired Versace strapless white gown and white fur. Lizzo completed the look wearing strappy silver heels and a layered diamond necklace.
Alessandra Ambrosio's Emsemble Was Everything
Former Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio showed off her toned legs in a stunning look for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in LA. Her black and white emsemble was both formal and stunning.
Hailing from Brazil, Ambrosio is one of the highest-paid models in the world and was named one of the most beautiful people in the world by People in 2005. She's walked in 17 Victoria's Secret fashion shows in her career and it showed as she walked the red carpet for the Grammys.
Rosalia Won Best Latin Rock Album
Artist Rosalia was up for two Grammys in the Best New Artist and Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album categories and took home the latter. She's the first artist to win in that category with an album that's spoken almost entirely in Spanish.
The Spanish-born 26-year-old has been nominated for five Latin Grammy Awards and two American Grammys. Rosalia walked the red carpet in a stunning red collared dress with fringe detailing. Her long silver nails looked dazzling during her performance.
Lala Milan
Actress and TV show personality Lala Milan wore a stunning red gown for the big night. The unique design featured an off-the-shoulder gown with one long, floor-length sleeve.
Milan looked absolutely elegant with a sleek hairstyle and dangling diamond earrings. She tied the look together with a silver clutch. We wouldn't be surprised if she was named Best Dressed of the night for this incredible style that had heads turning.
Billy Porter Wore A Motorized Hat
Broadway performing artist Billy Porter didn't disappoint with his red carpet-worthy attire for the evening. Stylist Sam Ratelle worked with Porter to put together his look that they call, "disco glam". Scott Sudenberg also had a hand in Porter's outfit, helping design the motorized hat that would mechanically move the fringe to reveal his face.
In 2014, Porter won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album but wasn't up for any nominations at this year's award show.
Billie Eilish Was Up For Six Nominations
Singer-songwriter Billie Eilish was up for six nominations at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Appearing on the red carpet wearing a black and gold suit with a lime green layer, the 18-year-old took home Pop Vocal Album of the Year for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
Her brother also took home a Grammy that night. Finneas won the Grammy for Best Engineered Album and Producer of the Year. Her album hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts in 2019.
Lil Nas X Took Home Two Grammy Awards
Lil Nas X tied Billie Eilish with six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist. The 20-year-old rocked the red carpet wearing a custom Versace Western-style pink suit paired with matching pink cowboy hat and boots.
The artist took home Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Old Town Road" with Billy Ray Cyrus. He tweeted (then deleted) "THANK U TO EVERYBODY!! I AM NOW GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ARTIST LIL NAS X !!!"
Producer and TV Host Kéla Walker Knows How To Rock a Red Carpet
Producer Kéla Walker has been nominated for an Emmy Award six times in the past, but hasn't taken home a Grammy yet. Also an award-winning TV host, Walker flew out to Los Angeles for the big night from her home in New York City.
There's no doubt that her fans will be closely watching Walker on the red carpet, as she's known for her looks and fashion taste. This year she rocked a long-sleeved golden gown with a cinched waist and dramatic slit.
Ella Mai Wore Red Hot Armani
Singer-songwriter Ella Mai attended the Grammys wearing this fierce red strapless dress, custom made by Armani. This year she was nominated for Best R&B Album for her self-titled album, but didn't take home an award.
That's okay, as the young artist was nominated twice the year before for "Boo'd Up" and took home the Grammy for Best R&B Song. Ella Mai told Vogue, "I was really excited about this dress! Collaborating with Armani to create such a beautiful piece is a dream come true."
