Heroes Of Hilarity Who Tickled Everyone’s Funny Bone (These People Are Effortlessly Hilarious)
Some people just seem effortlessly funny. It's surprisingly hard to do consistently, but for those with a natural talent for it, it's even harder not to make people laugh. While some are more capable of being serious than others, they all have a way of making our lives a little brighter.
Fortunately, enough of those people are around to make this collection of total crowd-pleasers possible. While it's true that humor is subjective and you can't please everyone, that doesn't stop certain folks from finding a way to get pretty close.
Writing a textbook must be so boring
When people are stuck doing a boring job, it doesn't usually take long before they come up with fun little ways to mess around and make their days bearable. From the looks of things, that's no less true for the people who write science textbooks than it is for anyone else.
It's so easy to recognize the mood the writer was in when they came up with this one, too. It often starts with a shake of the head and the writer saying, "This is so dumb," to themselves before their joke grows on them so much that they can't help but put it in.
Sometimes the best jokes aren't made on purpose
Believe it or not, this wasn't the work of some sophisticated prankster who wanted to make it clear that those going to McDonald's for healthy options are heading for the wrong place. As Reddit user Luvbeers explained, this was a genuine printing error by the company.
Still, considering that many McDonald's locations don't offer salads anymore and that the ones they did have were loaded with more sodium than a Big Mac, whoever messed this up was accidentally very honest. Not only that but they were accidentally hilarious about how they expressed it.
Awkward for them, hilarious for everyone else
This image leaves people with a lot to take in but the context is that this person is a YouTuber who green screens himself out of the video so it looks like only his puppet is talking. As for why he has that grimace on his face, it's because his roommate just walked in on him dressed like a bad guy from the Ninja Turtles.
It's unclear whether that face is angry for disturbing his filming or filled with the realization of how weird this looks to everyone else, but the roommate was apparently too busy laughing to ask.
A time-honored tradition
There's something oddly comforting about the knowledge that no matter how much the world changes, there will always be kids who vandalize signs to make them say funny things. It's hard to guess what it said before, but it's "lick N poo" now.
Depending on how old this ice cream shop is, it's not impossible that the culprit's parents made the exact same joke 40 years ago. Those with lactose intolerance can also attest that this isn't exactly inaccurate for them.
Not going to lie, this is a pretty terrific placement
Reddit user malichi45 uploaded this photo with a simple proclamation: Googly eyes make everything better. Honestly, the picture they chose to submit as evidence is about as compelling as it gets. It only takes a slight costume change for the classic horror movie to become a comedy.
Of course, they had to add the little permanent marker eyebrows to complete the look. The Creature from the Black Lagoon may look sillier, but he isn't any less angry. Actually, he's probably angrier now that his victims won't take him seriously.
I don't know if he's a good lawyer but he's a very good boy
As Reddit user disillusioned explained, their neighbor gives away free treats to dogs in the neighborhood and put this adorable sign up above the basket. It's also pretty easy to believe that this esteemed attorney has never lost a case.
After all, the kind of compensation most dogs are looking for is a proper treat and some belly scratches. So many humans out there wouldn't need any lawyer to tell them to do that. Come to think of it, that's probably the lawyer's retainer, too.
Saving him from himself
When it's time to get down to business, it always seems like that's the precise moment when all the distractions want to come out of the woodwork. By the end of the day, it's hard not to feel bad when you realize how much time they all ate up.
Well, that's not how this man's going to feel when it's quitting time. Even though dragging him into a series of meandering conversations sounds easy, it's clear that the boss has their eye on anyone trying to do that.
It's amazing that more people haven't done this
At a recent marathon in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, one participant showed up in a familiar outfit. It really is a credit to Forrest Gump's costume department that even 30 years later, we can recognize the iconic nature of what would otherwise be a pretty normal outfit.
That said, the biggest clue would be that it's not exactly traditional running gear. It's also hard not to wonder if this guy kept running after the race was over. Of course, marathons are hard so it's hard to blame him if he didn't.
We've all been there
Sooner or later, everyone learns to stop venting their frustrations in the file names for their assignments and just title them normally. Usually, it's because that makes them easier to organize but there can be more embarrassing reasons to break that habit.
Hey, at least this student was mad at themselves in this one and not the professor. It may not compel them to add any grade points (nice try if this was all a setup) but won't make them take any away out of spite either. While they're at it, they can work on submitting their work on time as well.
This is as likely to make people say "aww" as laugh
This photo requires a little explanation. As Reddit user Sam_Jackson_Beer said, their parents have a cat who has recently experienced an injury that it makes it more difficult to walk. This led their dad to build the little guy some steps for his litter box.
In an adorable move, the dad even put this little blue accessible sign next to the stairs. It's a cute and thoughtful touch and it's also probably the only time a set of steps should have this sign next to it.
This man definitely deserves his refund
For those who haven't been in this situation and need an explanation, this man did not receive his Uber Eats order. However, he discovered that the platform wanted him to prove he didn't get anything when he reached out to them.
Frankly, the absurdity of having to prove that something doesn't exist didn't deserve this creative, hilarious response. But if that picture of him eating a plate of nothing doesn't convince them he's telling the truth, nothing will. The acting is wonderful.
This seems like a pretty interesting guy
As Reddit user zachslow explained, their Uber driver made it clear that he wants the world to know him as Hugh Jass. Although his previous naughty license plates were significantly more juvenile and involved "your mom," a classic Simpsons reference is a major improvement.
Presumably, "Seymour Butz" wouldn't fit on the plate. And it's even less clear how a similarly inclined woman could ever get Amanda Huggenkiss to fit in a comprehensible way either. It's clear that Mr. Jass has put a lot of thought into this one.
Well, who would like the taste of this?
From the looks of things, this vehicle is supposed to transport beauty pageant contestants and whether it was due to a lack of time or money, they were clearly forced to accept a pretty glaring mistake. At the same time, it's kind of a perfect one.
Perhaps this woman's face didn't look disgusted in the original picture, but it certain does now that her likeness has to suck a door handle all day. Hopefully, the client got a discount, at least.
Oh, so it's a science fiction story
While people come up with new brilliant turns of phrase every day, it's also true that some writers get a little too in love with their own prose to ensure that it actually makes sense. Reddit user haddock420 was masterful in expressing what was wrong with this line.
It's clear that the man Madeline Miller was writing about had an olive skin tone, and she wanted to express that creatively. However, her description of him sounded more like, "His skin was like the most radiant mucus after it was mellifluously sneezed into a tissue."
The housing market is really getting crazy
While it seems likely that some local pranksters thought it would be funny to put this welcome mat in front of a port-a-potty, it's also a little hard not to want this to be the result of a construction crew trying to make the site a little more homey.
Either way, it's both a funny little gesture and a sad commentary on how crazy it is for renters out there. Every Airbnb that doesn't look like the sample pictures might as well be this.
Sometimes, it's a matter of seizing the opportunity
As Reddit user explained, they took a picture of their chickens for an unspecified reason but couldn't get over how cool they looked in it. Not only that, but they noticed something familiar about the way they were spaced apart and how they were positioned.
It looked like this group of chickens was the hardest, toughest, and most controversial rap act out there. Naturally, this meant they had to turn that photo into an album cover. Presumably, one can expect a lot of angry clucking over drill beats.
It's probably the last time she'll let him do that
Ads Reddit user Rainbow62993 explained, she decided to let her husband do her makeup. She didn't want to talk about the choices he made with her nose but there was one part of this amateurish job that she considered especially hilarious.
It only takes one look at her eyes to realize that the husband only figured out what eyeliner is supposed to do after he already did her right eye. To be fair, the name doesn't leave a little room for confusion. Still, did he not notice that she never looked like that before?
Finally, someone is talking about the real issues
The matter of whether or not cursive writing has any utility in day-to-day life is subject to a pretty big generational divide. Although many older adult have expressed outrage when schools stop teaching it, younger people like this make a compelling counterpoint.
Aside from signing documents, most people aren't likely to find they'll need to use cursive writing for any particular reason. It was also a nice touch to not write this sign in cursive either. There's a man with conviction.
Don't worry, the dad is in on this
As Reddit user Dadonutdude1 explained, he wanted a memorable photo for his daughter's first swim and he decided this would be a hard scene to forget. He was definitely right and the baby's surprisingly cold expression honestly nails what he was going for perfectly.
For the record, he also said that his daughter didn't pay attention for long enough to make this situation at all uncomfortable. He said that she did a lot more damage once she decided to start shoving her inexplicably sharp baby fingernails up his nose later.
Looks like there's a little buyer's remorse going on
From the looks of it, some of the people living around this bar didn't think everything through before they moved in. Sure, it seems convenient to be close to a place like that until folks realize that it means dealing with its clientele.
That said, what do they want the bar to do about it, stop doing business entirely? Whatever it was, it probably didn't involve those patrons reminding them of their lack of foresight at the same volume that they were yelling about whatever else. It really costs nothing to mind one's own business.
And the dog would do it again
Although dog-shaming posts where people hang a sign detailing a dog's hilarious misdeeds around its neck are fairly common, it's going to be pretty hard to top this one. Considering that it not only knew how to lock the car's door but knew to wait until there was a mother lode of food in there, this dog's basically an evil genius.
Honestly, look at the distinct lack of guilt on this dog's face. Most dogs are too sweet to be proud of their bad behavior but most dogs also don't think of brilliant schemes like this. And that's why they eat whatever their owners give them and not whatever they want.
Well, he has nobody to blame but himself for this one
As Reddit user WhuddupBoiz explained, his 13-year-old sister got him a birthday present he wasn't terribly impressed by. Yet, as she made abundantly clear when she gave it to him, any disappointment he was feeling was his own fault.
When someone — especially a mischievous teenager — asks a question and the answer is "whatever," whoever utters that should be prepared to face the consequences of their indecisiveness. The sister didn't just get him a ladle for his birthday, she gave him a lesson.
There may not be a better way to explain this concept
As people get older, they learn that the people they share the planet with have wildly different ideas of bathroom etiquette than them. That obviously prompted someone to put up this sign that honestly couldn't explain the proper toilet paper hang better.
At the same time, it's hard not to be conflicted. On the one hand, it's very clever and concise. On the other hand, the noble mullet doesn't deserve this kind of slander. They're going to have their day again, you'll see!
Finally, something that everyone can agree on
Messing with a church's sign is usually a pretty risky proposition in the court of public opinion but it's hard to imagine even the most uptight moralist finding much issue with this. After all, good luck arguing against the clearly evident position that dogs love humanity.
Not only that but it's hard to even call this vandalism. It's as easy as putting the letters they switched around back and it doesn't even involve moving that many. It would be hard to bother even stopping this person if they caught them doing it.
This place is playing chess while Starbucks plays Checkers
Despite its popularity, there are more than a few serious coffee aficionados who truly despise Starbucks. However, it's likely not possible to find a more bitter rival of the coffee giant than the independent shops that try to compete with them in every city.
From the looks of it, one of them has found an incredibly clever way to stick it to Starbucks. This sign could not be placed better and measuring the distance between the shop and the Starbucks entrance was a pretty great touch.
Strangely, it's pretty beautifully put
Although most customers just use the special instructions part of an online order to tell the delivery people where they want their food and the restaurant what they want on it, it seems that one person took it as an opportunity to wax poetic.
This is a little goofy in how it addresses the employee but it must be legitimately affirming that at least one customer recognized their hard work that day. Honestly, who wouldn't throw a little extra cheese in the burrito after reading this?
They have definitely heard it all before
Although many restaurants have kid's menus, only this one seems to recognize how cranky and hard to please a lot of children can be. Picky eaters will often face disappointment at restaurants but the reactions tend to be a lot more vocal among little ones who haven't learned how to manage that feeling yet.
Fortunately, this place has an option for every bratty thing they might say. It's funny to us, but it's probably a much more serious relief to stressed parents after they get these phrases screamed in their ears.
Something probably couldn't stop giggling at this one
Once they spend enough time online, everybody eventually sees some sketchy ads promising that attractive people in their areas are just dying to meet them. Naturally, they should be taken as seriously as an email coming from someone claiming to be a Nigerian prince, but that doesn't mean people can't have a little fun with them.
That's exactly what they roofers did and while only their customers know how good they are at it, they're a lot more likely to keep their promises than those "hot singles" ads are. The shingles are hot and they're getting nailed no matter what happens.
