An Amazon Employee Dropped Something Into A Package — And The Internet Helped Get It Back To Them

Have you ever received something in your online order that you didn't order?

Reddit user "avec_aspartame" found something in their package that they didn't order and were able to return it to the rightful owner. Here's the story!

The story begins with the person receiving the order that they placed with Amazon.

When they were opening the package they found that the package include more than what they had ordered.

Mysterious Glasses

Included in their package was a pair of glasses.

The glasses were not brand new or in any type of packaging which made them think that the person who packed their order had accidentally dropped them inside.

Tracked Down The Employee Code

They posed the question to Reddit and through the help of other users were able to get an employee code.

This led them to find out exactly where the order had been packaged.

The package began on the other side of the country in Vancouver and then was repackaged at a local warehouse just outside of Ottawa.

They were getting closer to finding out who the owner may be.

They Belonged To A Coworker

They were able to get in touch with the manager of the facility who then asked the employee if they lost a pair of glasses.

They hadn't, but their coworker had a couple days before and that's whose glasses they belonged to!

Drove Out To Personally Deliver Them

Since the warehouse was not too far of a drive from their house, the receiver of the glasses decided to drive them to the warehouse personally.

They were able to leave the glasses with security and to the best of their knowledge they were given back to their rightful owner!
